2007 SUN CIRCUIT
AWARDS & ELIGIBILITY
The following are general eligibility requirements and conditions and are subject to update and amplification. For specific requirements and updates, please check the website (www.suncircuit.com) and check with the Show Office once at the Show.
Sun Circuit Awards are based on the nine-point system: if there are nine or more horses in a class, first place wins nine points, second wins eight points, and so on. If there are fewer than nine horses, first place wins the maximum possible, second place earns one fewer, and so on.
ALL AROUND AWARDS Prizes or recognition will be awarded to the Top Ten High Point All Around competitors in AQHA classes (Champion, Reserve Champion, Third, Fourth, and Fifth) in the following categories: Senior Horse, Junior Horse, Green Horse, Amateur Select, Amateur, Novice Amateur, Youth 14-18, Youth 13 & Under, Youth 11 & Under, and Novice Youth. Please check with the Show Office for the specific eligibility requirements for each All Around Award and the classes that count towards each award.
CIRCUIT AWARDS Prizes will be awarded to the Champion and Reserve Champion Circuit winners in each Sun Circuit class. Circuit Champion will be based solely on the total number of points earned by the horse in the particular class; there are no specific requirements regarding how often the horse must be shown.
SPECIAL AWARDS Sun Circuit traditionally offers a wide array of specialized high point awards, such as High Point English Horse, High Point Rope Horse, etc. This year there will be a saddle given for the high point Novice Amateur Reiner. Please check the website and, once at the show, check with the Show Office and for updates on the various special awards available and the criteria for each award.
Permit Holders Exhibitors with permits to ride horses other than their own will not be eligible for Circuit or All Around awards.
Exhibitor Responsibility Each exhibitor is responsible for knowing and understanding all applicable AQHA, AzQHA, NSBA, and Sun Circuit rules and procedures. Exhibitors are responsible for knowing the prizes for which they are eligible. By competing for a prize, the exhibitor is effectively attesting to his or her eligibility for that prize. Any awards received at Sun Circuit for which the exhibitor or horse is found to be ineligible must be returned to Sun Circuit immediately at the exhibitor’s cost.
Awards Pick-Up All prizes must be picked up at the Show prior to the closing of the Office on the last day of the show. The show will not be responsible for shipping or otherwise delivering any prizes to exhibitors who have departed prior to the prizes being awarded.
