NSBA Riders Cup – $75,000 Purse

The National Snaffle Bit Association’s Riders Cup will be held during Sun Circuit on March 6 & 7. The purse, estimated to be $75,000, will be shared between the owner of the horse exhibited and the professional rider/trainer associated with the entry.

For those not familiar with the NSBA Riders Cup program, it hosts an annual event designed to award substantial and sustainable purses to NSBA non pro members and their professional trainers. The Riders Cup offers prize money in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, Western Riding, Showmanship, Western Horsemanship, and Hunt Seat Equitation events.

To take advantage of the opportunity to compete in the NSBA Riders Cup, all professional riders must be sold through the NSBA Trainer Sale program. Smart Boons Fence Work Challenge

**Horses who wish to only be eligible for the Golden Cowboy will run in the Smart Boons Fence Challenge. Horses who elect this option will not be eligible for the $20000 added money and purse paid back in the Smart Boons Fence Challenge. Entries who wish to compete for the payback in the Smart Boons Fence Challenge must pay an additional entry fee of $300 (100% jackpotted)

Horse’s placings from the Reined Cow Horse Cutting and Jr. Cow Horse will be tabulated on a 9 point sliding scale to determine final placings.

Exhibitor must exhibit in all AQHA Open Headings prior to Cinch Timed Event Challenge to be eligible for Cinch Timed Event Challenge Open Heading. Exhibitor must exhibit in all AQHA Open Heeling prior to Cinch Timed Event Challenge to be eligible for Cinch Timed Event Challenge Open Heeling. Exhibitor must exhibit in all AQHA Amateur Headings or all AQHA Youth Headings prior to Cinch Timed Event Challenge to be eligible for Cinch Timed Event Challenge Non Pro Heading. Exhibitor must exhibit in all AQHA Amateur Heeling or all AQHA Youth Heeling prior to Cinch Timed Event Challenge to be eligible for Cinch Timed Event Challenge Non Pro Heeling. Exhibitors do not have to have shown the same horse in AQHA classes. AQHA ownership rules of amateur and youth exhibitors horses will be followed.

Non Pro Horsemanship Challenge

The highest scoring L2 or L3 Non Pro Horsemanship exhibitor will receive a beautiful custom crafted trophy buckle. The Circuit Champions in Amateur, Select Amateur and Youth 14-18 Horsemanship will have their scores tallied to determine the champion of champions. The buckle award is sponsored by Preston Williams.
