The ARHFA will be hosting it’s 7th Annual Scottsdale Arizona Rope Horse Futurity in conjunction with the Arizona Sun Circuit.

Will run concurrent with L1 Jr Western Riding each time it occurs. Horse must enter L1 Jr. Western Riding as well as Nothin But Nett Maiden Stakes to be eligible. Horse MAY NOT have shown in Western Riding  prior to the 2024 Sun Circuit. Placings will utilize the 9 point sliding scale on all  9 judges placings  to determine final placings.  

$3500 Added Kristin Brock Show Horses L1 OPEN RANCH HORSE STAKES   must be L1 eligible in AQHA Ranch Riding to compete in L1 Working Western Rail.

Horse’s score  from the Reined Cow Horse Herd work and Amateur Boxing  on the respective dates will be totaled  to determine final placings.

Sun Circuit  Spectaculars – Rules and Guidelines – AQHA Cutting/Reined Cow Horse Cutting: 

Horses showing in not AQHA Legal head gear will receive a score of O in AQHA cutting. Horses shown in split reins during the cutting  who are entered in the Spectaculars will receive their AQHA Cutting score as their Reined Cow Horse Cutting score. 

Guidelines for Reined Cow Horse Cutting are as follows: 

Horses six years of age and over  may   show in:  *Split reins, Two Rein or  Romals.  Legal head gear for either AQHA or NRCHA is allowed but all head gear must be legal for one of the associations. 

Horses 5 years of age or under  may show in:  Snaffle bit, Hackamore, *Split reins, Two Rein or Romals. Legal head gear for either AQHA or NRCHA is allowed but all head gear must be legal for one of the associations.

Horse must enter the Spectaculars in the Sun Circuit show office or online  to be eligible. To be eligible all ropers must have competed in an AQHA roping class each time the AQHA Classes were  offered  on March 4, 5 and 6. 

Ropers must enter at the show office. Once entries are complete, Open and Amateur riders who have entered will be drawn by random draw.

One entry per Amateur rider on each side. If more Amateur riders enter than open, open riders will be drawn for a second opportunity to enter.
