*Sun Circuit Spectaculars- Rules and Guidelines – AQHA Cutting/Reined Cow Horse Cutting:
Horses showing in not AQHA Legal head gear will receive a score of O in AQHA cutting.
Guidelines for Reined Cow Horse Cutting are as follows:
Horses six years of age and over may show in: *Split reins, Two Rein or Romals. Legal head gear for either AQHA or NRCHA is allowed but all head gear must be legal for one of the associations.
Horses 5 years of age or under may show in: Snaffle bit, Hackamore, *Split reins, Two Rein or Romals. Legal head gear for either AQHA or NRCHA is allowed but all head gear must be legal for one of the associations.
Horse must enter the Spectaculars in the Sun Circuit show office or online to be eligible. Horse must enter the AQHA Cutting and will receive a Reined Cow Horse Cutting score and placing from their run in the AQHA cutting class. Horse must enter the respective AQHA Cow Horse or Boxing class and their placing in the AQHA class will earn points based on a 9 point sliding scale.
*Horses shown in split reins during the cutting who are entered in the Spectaculars will receive their AQHA Cutting score as their Reined Cow Horse Cutting score.

Sun Circuit 2D Jackpot Classes: Two Payouts – One Class
A 2D jackpot class consist of a 1D and 2D division. If you enter the 2D Jackpot class you are eligible for the 1D payout or 2D payout. See examples below.
Must pay the specified entry fee by 5 pm the day prior to the class. Class will run concurrent with the respective AQHA Class. All added money and entry fees will be divided equally between the 1D and 2D Divisions. 100% of entry fees for the respective jackpot class will be paid back. Each D pays three places to the highest composite scoring horses entered in the respective jackpot class. 1D payout is the highest scoring composite horses. 2D payout is as defined in examples:
Example 1: 6 total horses entered in 2D Jackpot class. The three high composite scores will receive the payout for the 1D portion of the class. The 2D payout will begin with 4th high composite score. 4th, 5th and 6th high composite scores will receive the payout of the 2d portion of the class.
Example 2 : 16 horses entered the 2D jackpot class. The 1D payout is paid to the three high composite scores Highest composite scores for the top half of the scores in the class . The 1D will be scores of the top 8 horses including all ties. The 2D payout begins at bottom half of the total number of entries in the 2D Jackpot class. The 2D payout begins with the composite score of the 9th horse.
Example 3: 17 horses entered in 2D jackpot class. The 1D payout is paid to the three high composite scores in the top half of the class of the scores in the class. The 1D will be scores of the top 8 horses including all ties. The 2D payout begins at bottom half of the total number of entries in the 2D Jackpot class rounded up. The 2D payout begins with the composite score of the 9th horse.
Ties: Total Payout wiil be split amongst tied horses. A minimum of three places paid.
Example: If five horses score a 143 the total purse will be split among the five horses.
If two horses score a 143 1st and 2nd money will be totaled then split evenly between the two tied horses. If 3rd place had three tied horses. Third place money will be split evenly among the tied horses.
Congratulations to the eligible exhibitors for the Arizona Incentive! These exhibitors, if they win the same circuit again at Sun Circuit, will win a $5000 bonus.
